Sierra Sierra Megan MeganGale, who was then just 18 years old, was the winner of the Perth modeling contest. Following several modeling seasons, Gale gained fame in 1999 when Omnitel Italy (now Vodafone Italy) cast her to star in advertisements. Gale continued to be part of the advertising campaign for the company until 2006. In 2003 she was chosen by the Australian Tourist Commission retained her as the face of Australia to Italy.' Gale was featured on covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. In addition, she has appeared in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was included in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia as well as Italian GQ. Gale has been a model on runways for Italian fashion houses including Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo and also runway in the fashion houses of Mariella Burani and Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale can also be a fan of many Australian designers such as Colette Dinnigan Kirrily johnston, Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. Gale was the Fashion Analyst for Australia's TV awards in the year 2006 (the Logies). Gale was let go of runway fashion in January 2008 after 15 years. She walked her final catwalk for the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney just two weeks after. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had in mind to wear in film Justice League of America film in the process of developing. Gale made a return to the runway in March 2011 as she wrapped Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary at David Jones in August 2011 which was the longest-running fashion contract in the history of an Australian. In the same month, Gale became an ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Gale appeared in a L'Oreal Shampoo commercial that was telecast in Australia, New Zealand, as well as Italy.
